Feature Friday: Receive files securely & easily with an upload portal
In this series, we will highlight one of our features every Friday. Our Intelligent Data Protection Platform consists of powerful features, which ensure that you can communicate in a user-friendly and secure way. With these blogs we will show how these features work. Explained simple, short and to the point!
Today we will highlight the upload portal. What this portal is and can help your organization to work more secure, you’ll read in this blog:
What is an upload portal?
You may be familiar with it: the flow of incoming files that have to find their way to the right department or recipient. This could be an applicant's ID, an annual client report, or perhaps a patient's health information. In any case, when it comes to securely receiving (sensitive) personal data, you don’t want to spend your precious time on the hassle of distributing these files.
Secure email is an option, but not always ideal. Because if it concerns a lot of files on a daily basis, who can keep track of this?
An upload portal can offer the solution here: this is secure portal, where files can be sent easily. User-friendly, both for the sender and for the recipient. Easily said:
- The sender creates a portal.
- The recipient is given access to this portal, after which the files can be uploaded. These are sent to the sender via this secure portal.
- Files therefore enter the organization in a simple and secure way.
With one central place for uploading and receiving files, it is easy to keep an overview.
How SmartLockr’s upload portal can save you a lot of time
SmartLockr makes it possible for the admin within the organization to use the upload portal. This is done very simply, from the admin portal. Not only is it easy, but it will save you time, because:
Send files directly to the correct department (s) / personsAs an admin, when creating the upload portal, you can specify to whom the files should be sent. Incoming files therefore no longer need to be selected and forwarded.
Multiple portals can be created
Are you dealing with different flows of files within the organization, that belong to different departments? Multiple portals will be the solution: one portal per flow. This way you will always keep an overview.
Receiving the wrong files will belong to the pastDo you prefer a certain file, of a certain size? Then you can adjust this in the settings. This prevents you from receiving wrong files - this saves a lot of time and hassle, because the recipient can only select those specific files.
Chasing files actively is no longer neededYou don’t have to send an email every time to ask for files. By sharing a link, where access is given to the portal, recipients simply know what to send. You don’t have to send an email every time to ask for files.
